I'm not like most designers, who must set sail on an exotic getaway to get inspired. Most of the time, it's on my walk to work, or sitting in the subway and seeing something.
When developing an idea, I remind myself not to start with compromise. I envision the ideal manifestation of the idea, as if I had no limits in resources, materials, or permission.
Works of art, in my opinion, are the only objects in the material universe to possess internal order, that is why, though I don't believe that only art matters, I do believe in Art.
Eventually everything connects - people, ideas, objects. The quality of the connections is the key to quality per se.
